Principal's Bio

Mr. Hardyman's Biographical Information

Mr. Hardyman received his Bachelor's Degree from Athens State College and his Masters of Education from Alabama A&M University. Mr. Hardyman went on to receive his Administrative Certification from Alabama A&M University, and his Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Alabama. Mr. Hardyman has over 31 years experience as an educator. He has served as an EMR Special Education Teacher, as well as an Advanced Placement American History, Economic and Government Teacher. Mr. Hardyman has served as an Assistant Principal at Ardmore High School and West Limestone High School and is currently the Principal at Piney Chapel Elementary School. During his career he has received many awards and recognitions for teaching excellence, has been recognized as an instructional leader and was the recipient of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) "Assistant Principal of the Year for 2004-2005". Mr. Hardyman was also awarded the Alabama State Board of Education Resolution Honoring Academic Excellence at Piney Chapel in 2006, the Limestone County Board of Education Resolution Honoring the "2004-2005 Alabama Assistant Principal of the Year Award" in 2005, the DEKKO Award for Teaching Excellence in 2002, was named Ardmore High School's "Teacher of the Year" in 2002, named to "Who's Who" among America's Teachers in 1994, and many more.  Mr. Hardyman has served on the Board of Directors for CLAS, served on the Madison County, Limestone County, Huntsville and Madison City Community Action Policy committee, and was selected to serve as an advisory committee member for implementing Alabama Standards for the Instructional Leadership Program at the University of North Alabama. Mr. Hardyman was also selected to participate in the University of Alabama's "Superintendent"s Academy" in 2008.
